Lobby ES 104 chair by Charles Eames for Poltronova, 1970s

Swivel office chair with upholstered seat and back in black leather. The chair is original from the late 1970s, purchased from Poltronova. Seat height adjustable with a lever and swivel seat. Back and seat with side frames in chrome-plated die-cast aluminium. Cushion elements upholstered in leather, armrests upholstered in leather. Five-spoke base in chrome-plated die-cast aluminium on castors. Thanks to its structural design, the Lobby Chair is comparable to the Lounge Chair in terms of comfort. It consists of three individual cushions, joined together by aluminium side frames. The armchair was originally conceived to furnish the lobby areas of New York's Time Life Building. In the years that followed, various versions were created, all of which have one fundamental aspect in common: exceptional comfort.
