Modular teak bookcase with nine wall shelves and three cabinets by K. Kristiansen for FM Mobler, 1960s

Modern Danish modular teak bookcase, designed by Kai Kristiansen in the 1960s, and produced by a well-known Danish manufacturer - FM Mobler, as evidenced by the original labels stuck on some of the shelves. Three cupboards and nine shelves provide sufficient space for storing trinkets and displaying books and decorations. A great example of Danish carpentry skills from the mid-20th century. It consists of: a console with four drawers H: 23 / W: 86 / D: 32 cm, height of drawers: 7.5 cm; a cabinet with fluted glass doors H: 36 / W: 86 / D: 32 cm; a cabinet with sliding teak doors, with two inner drawers - one with green lining H: 36 / W: 86 / D: 32 cm; three shelves 32 cm D; three shelves 24 cm D; three shelves 20 cm D; four 200 cm long teak veneered metal runners. Each section is 86 cm wide and all pieces can be arranged as desired thanks to the easy system of metal brackets that fit into the rails. Excellent vintage condition, especially after cleaning and coating with additional layers of Danish oil. Minimal signs of wear.
