Mixed media painting on canvas entitled "Green Energy" made by Stefano Iannone in 2011. Iannone in his works tends to idealize an uncertain as much as a joyful future, unsettling because it is unknown but at the same time reassuring and "heavenly". The material takes on combative force, with intense stains and bright hues, almost as if produced by fire, and from this same hypnotic ardor his space cities are born: megametropolises in which the viewer, almost enraptured, traverses pristine and desert-like spaces. Using "mixed media" and sometimes resorting to materials of various kinds, the artist transforms into art the drawing of a perfect society, projected into an indefinite space-time dimension in which men should be able to realize an entirely happy coexistence, because "first of all we must learn not to be afraid of utopia inasmuch as every progress of mankind has been a utopia before it was realized, that is, before the moment was ripe for it to be realized".
