Item description
Walnut console with mirrors by Guglielmo Ulrich for Ar.Ca (Arredamenti Casa), 1940s-50s. Original label. In 1930 Ulrich founded the Ar.Ca company for which he takes care of the design of the furnishings. His furniture is characterized by great attention to the construction itself and to the attention to detail of the materials (for example, precious woods are used); the production is always of a high level of craftsmanship. In the first steps of Italian industrial production, Ulrich chooses to create furniture and objects in unique pieces for an elite clientele: high quality craftsmanship guarantees tradition, while the design is modern and eclectic. All perfectly in line with the tastes of the Milanese upper class, who are looking for a modern answer to their representation needs. In these years Ulrich thus became the trusted architect of the Milanese upper and middle class: among his clients there were names such as Mondadori, Agnelli, Visconti, Gavazzi, Dubini.
