Pair of sideboards by Vittorio Dassi for Cecchini, 1950s





























Pair of sideboards from the 1950s designed by Vittorio Dassi for Cecchini, a carpentry shop with offices in Lissone, Seregno and Cantù. One of them has a hardwood structure with brass details, gilt mirror, pink Portuguese marble top. It has recently been restored and is therefore in very good condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age; wooden parts have been polished with shellac, the sub-base of the central body has been renewed to bring it back to the original finish; marble is original and in perfect condition. It is 180 cm high, 224 cm wide and 46 cm deep. It weighs approximately 50 kg. The other sideboard is made of wood with brass details, marble top and raised shelf; it is equipped with two pairs of hinged doors and a single central door which hides a space that can be used as a bar compartment. This one has also been fully polished and restored. It is 150 cm high, 278 cm wide and 50 cm deep.
