Item description
Six Ariston model dining chairs with curved plywood frame and black lacquered metal legs. The Ariston chair was designed by Augusto Bozzi and produced by Saporiti in the 1950s. The manufacturer's label is visible under the frame of the chair. The chair is made of a piece of plywood bent into an elegant shape with a very clean line. The wood has a warm reddish undertone. The wooden frame is supported by a thin, black lacquered metal spider base, which gives the chair a light and elegant appearance. Augusto Bozzi was an Italian designer. In the late 1940s, he started designing his iconic chairs and armchairs and in 1950 he began a collaboration with the Italian furniture manufacturer Saporiti Italia to produce his designs. In the 1950s, Augusto Bozzi and Sergio Saporiti, the founder of Saporiti, worked together with designers Alberto Rosselli and Giorgio Raimondi to create designer objects and furniture with essential designs and innovative materials.
