Lovely pair of mid-19th century antique engravings with original coeval giltwood frame. Both engraved by Jazet Jean Pierre Marie (France c. 1788/ c. 1871) on different subjects. "Louis XV at the Battle of Fontenoy" of 11 May 1745, from a work by the painter Emile Jean Horace Vernet made in 1828 "The Last Day of Pompeii" from a work by the painter Frédérick-Henri Schopin executed in 1850. Very good condition some age-related flaws in the gilt frame, please take a good look at all pictures.
