Item description

Arenzano floor lamp by Ignazio Gardella for Azucena, 1970s. Round black marble base, brass stem and three white opaline glass light diffusers. It has an elegant tubular brass structure, curved and split at the top to hold three lampshades; the slender stem is made stable at the bottom by the marble base. Each lampshade can hold three bulbs (250V). Ignazio Gardella (Milan, 1905) was born into a family of five generations of architects. He began his studies in civil engineering in 1931 at the Milan Polytechnic and graduated in architecture from the IUAV in Venice 19 years later.
