Neapolitan Louis XV exotic wood and marble commode, 18th century

Louis XV commode made in Naples in the 18th century. Fine exotic wood structure and marble top. The surface made entirely of rare woods plays on the arrangement of the grain and the contrasting chiaroscuro of the different inlays. The decoration is typical of the Neapolitan 18th century with the classic rhombus repeated on the two drawers and the sides. The two corners are emphasized by elegant threads inlays and wooden borders arranged "in the lead". The two-drawer front is accentuated by a beautiful movement that is also repeated on the sides with wedge-shaped shoulders, a typical quirk of Neapolitan cabinetmakers of the period. The two "cabriole" feet are covered with bronze socks and are connected by a mixtilinear apron with an inlay in the center. Complete with certificate of authenticity.
