Pair of table lamps by Cini Boeri for Tronconi, 1970s
BRONZE Seller in Treviso, Italy
Designed in 1975 by Cini Boeri, Abat-Jour is an icon of Italian design. A monumental piece with an archetypal shape that French President Francois Mitterrand bought for his office at the Elysée Palace. The pyramidal base in Nero Marquina marble supports the diffuser in opaline methacrylate and black lacquered metal. A dimmable pair is available that is perfect as bedside tables. From 2 April 2016 to 19 February exhibited at "W. Women in Italian Design" - Triennale Design Museum - Milan.
