An elegant pair of Italian armchairs by Paolo Buffa, one of the most prolific designers and architects of the 20th century, dates from the 1950s. The cherry wood frame has a special feature in the armrest. The soft curvature of the wooden frame is enhanced by X-shaped slats that create a geometric play. The chairs have been renewed and upholstered in L'Interno's Italian natural wool boucle fabric by Franco Fabbri. The internal foams and coil springs of the seats have also been restored. Given their value and elegance, these lounge chairs are the perfect complement for classy and stylish living rooms. It is a true example of mid-century Italian style that is both modern and functional. The wooden frames are stable and preserved in their original condition with some traces of use.
