Oil painting on canvas depicting landscape with Windsor Castle.
The view is dominated by the imposing fortress standing on a hill at the base of which is a pond animated by swans and two figures in a boat. Dense vegetation frames the body of water.
The pictorial quality is very high and the work is signed at lower right by J. B. Allen (1803 - 1876), a well-known English painter.
The frame is coeval. The dimensions are as follows: 94 x 67 cm including the frame, 75 x 48 cm the canvas alone. A regular certificate of authenticity with photo is issued.
