Scavo glass vase attributed to Seguso, 1950s
SILVER Seller in Milano, Italy
Vase in tea-colored "scavo" glass attributed to Seguso and made between the 1940s and 1960s. It may have been designed after archaeological pieces as a model. It has opaque and iridescent parts, with the effect of the so-called "scavo glass". The marks of the scissors used to cut the glass and detach it from the "cannello" on the bottom are clearly visible and are a clear sign of the craftsmanship. It is an object characterized by an intense ornamental and chromatic effect. It may have slight traces of use.
