Four-door bookcase (2 in glass and 2 in wood). Series "Torcello" by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Stilldomus Italia 1964. An innovative design from the early 1960s that joined walnut wood panels through a metal profile. The workmanship shows incredible attention to detail. The doors are completely airtight and dustproof, with metal fasteners and handles. The bookcases rest on round felt-covered wooden feet, designed to be decorative as well as functional. The hinges are elegant and discreet. The backs are polished to enhance the 'flame' grain typical of walnut.
