Thai canopy bed made of solid teak. Handmade and extremely rare. It was purchased 20 years ago and at the time was thought to be over 50 years old but is probably over 100 years old. The base consists of two large elements that can be considered tables, single beds or benches; they have "opium" legs and a secret compartment each. The bed has a front with two pillars and a portal that serves as the "entrance". The sides and back are framed with many fine details. It is composed of very few parts and is incredibly easy to assemble as they all simply slide into each other with a "roof" frame holding everything together. It features a lot of patina. The color of the teak wood can best be seen in the pictures of the individual parts. The two tables/benches, being incredibly beautiful, can also be used individually or with a futon on top.
