Item description
Travelling in the 1930s, he became interested in ancient vitreous enamel techniques in art museums and archaeological sites. Fascinated by this art, he devoted himself to the creation of enamels on metal from 1933. Initially, he produced small, refined decorative objects characterised by detailed shapes and brilliant colours. Gaining more control, he put himself at the forefront of innovation by improving the production process. In the 1920s, he established his workshop in Padua, also collaborating with small workshops in the Veneto city, and created a wide range of objects, including sculptures, plates, vases, lamps and jewellery. The Veneto tradition of working with enamelled copper is particularly deep-rooted in parts of the region, particularly in Padua, where this craft has existed since ancient times. The bowl is in good condition, the lines that can be seen in some photos are part of the workmanship and appear depending on the light the bowl receives; they are not a defect. Measures width 27 cm, depth 25 cm, height 5 cm. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (custom-made wooden crates, polystyrene, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the items.
