Item description

Elegant walnut panelled writing desk, original production circa mid-19th century. Legs with curved shapes, top with central part upholstered in black leather, small drawers and small raised shelves, probably originally the small drawers were placed directly on the top. This leather insert is in very poor condition and tends to detach from the top. The drawer locks are functional but must be handled gently and sometimes with a little patience. The desk is in good structural condition. Solid and intact, it has several scratches on both the top and the structure, some visible in the photo. Conservative restoration is recommended.
