Item description
A large floor lamp in Space Age style designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in the 1970s. It is made of white and mottled hand-blown Murano glass. The steel base and the mottled glass upper globe, joined by three futuristic elements composed of three rings each, enhance the Space Age design, which is based on the idea of the world after the success of atomic energy and space travel. All sections are joined by chrome-plated steel and fitted with multi-coloured lighting (coloured bulbs). The double foot switch allows the lamp to be easily switched on in various combinations by illuminating individual elements or the entire piece. Carlo Nason's design is one of the most recognisable in terms of the Italian mid-century modern style of Murano blown glass lighting, and is closely associated with Mazzega. Our team meticulously inspected and verified the impeccable functionality of the lamp. The lamp is in excellent original period condition. The plug and switch are original and fully functional. The switch has two buttons: one switches on the second section from below and the other, at the top, switches on the other two; it is possible to operate them separately or together. Colour obtained from coloured bulbs. Four bulbs included: green, red, blue and white. The lamp requires E27 type bulbs. 280 cm long cable.
