Modular oak bookcase by Kai Kristiansen for FM Mobler, 1960s

An elegant yet functional oak bookcase, useful in an entrance hall or bedroom, was designed by Kai Kristiansen in the 1960s and made by FM Mobler. The original label has been preserved. This vintage bookcase is entirely modular and can be arranged according to one's needs thanks to a simple system of metal brackets that fit into the rails. The wall unit is a fantastic example of mid-century Danish carpentry craftsmanship. It consists of a cabinet with sliding doors divided into two parts. On the left is an inner drawer with green lining and on the right an adjustable shelf. H: 36/W: 85,5/D: 34 cm, two 24 cm deep shelves, two 121 cm long black painted metal rails. The wall unit has been checked by our team. We checked the correct functioning of the doors and drawers. The wood was cleaned with professional compounds and refreshed with a thin layer of new varnish. We leave small signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetics and only confirm originality. We try to restore the furniture to its best appearance, always considering that it is 60 years old. Overall, a fantastic vintage condition with minimal traces of use.
