Item description

Bench from the 'Carioca' collection designed in the 1970s for Stilwood, an iconic company that was a sensitive interpreter and witness to that period. Important designers designed for Stilwood, including collaborations with Giovanni Ausenda, Roberto Pamio, Noti Massari, Renato Toso and Gigi Sabadin. Renato Toso and Noti Massari, architects and designers, have collaborated with the most significant Italian companies in the furniture sector, receiving numerous prizes and awards. The Carioca collection characterised by the prevalent use of natural ash stood out, ahead of its time, for its great compositional flexibility that allowed it to be used in all rooms of the home. The corner bench, in natural ash, can be used in many different living contexts: in combination with a bed, with a table, as a back-rest. The Gigio drawer designed for Stilwood by Roberto Pamio and Renato Toso completes the composition. The Carioca bench and Gigio drawer are display products. They are in excellent condition overall, without noticeable scratches and with the natural oxidation of wood due to time. Carioca bench dimensions (cm): H 41 x L (148x215) x D 36. Gigio chest of drawers dimensions (cm): H 35,5 x W 57 x D 36.
