Plastic magazine rack by OPI Milano for Cini&Nils, 1970s

Magazine rack being part of a project that designers OPI Milano - year 1969 - develop on behalf of Cini&Nils by researching what is most inherent to the aesthetic consummation of the designed objects themselves and their placement in the inhabited space. As AICA member Franco Passoni argued: "...there is no doubt that the most advanced design fits culturally into industrial production, and Cini&Nils is characterized by results that demonstrate the consciousness of its very valid action"; this is the early 1970s. "Magazine rack solves with simplicity the problem of how to keep next to him at least twenty-five magazines in the highest order and thus with their best preservation, the possibility of their quick identification, the greatest ease of insertion and withdrawal. The top cylinder holds smaller-format publications and newspapers. With a simple push both cylinders rotate, facilitating identification and withdrawal". It shows very slight marks on the underlying support surface. Two magazine racks available (price per piece).
