Servopoltrona magazine holder by OPI Milano for Cini and Nils, 1970s

"Servopoltrona" is a newly conceived object - year 1969 - that the designers OPI Milano asked not to confuse with the better known "Swivel Magazine Holder". As a component of the Cini & Nils company philosophy, it simply solves the problem of how to keep everything you may need when you are comfortably relaxed in an armchair next to you, to use it without moving. On the stain-resistant shelf, at armrest height, a glass and bottle, an ashtray, a lighter, a pipe and tobacco can be stored, while in the lower pocket, the armchair holder holds the book or magazine you are reading. It consists of two parts: a one-piece body consisting of a cylinder with an upper shelf and flap at the base made of AS resin treated with antistatic, and an immovable tray made of mirror-polished stainless steel. Perfect condition. It shows no signs of wear or defects other than small marks on the plate in contact with the supporting surface.
