Modular rosewood bookcase with five cabinets by Kai Kristiansen for FM Mobler, 1960s

A magnificent rosewood wall cabinet, designed by Kai Kristiansen in the 1960s and made by FM, is a real eye-catcher and an incredibly functional piece of furniture. Five different cabinets offer storage space, while eight shelves display books and decorations. All cabinets feature a sensible arrangement of shelves and internal trays, while the drawer unit with four drawers provides convenient storage. Particularly noteworthy is the cabinet with a raised shelf, perfect for audio equipment and gramophone, or as a bar, to meet the needs of vinyl record lovers. The beautiful rosewood grain and craftsmanship, evident in the solid wood details such as the curved solid rosewood handles, add a touch of class. The wall unit features brilliant joinery and rich rosewood grain. It is an excellent example of mid-century Danish joinery. The set consists of a cabinet with four drawers H: 50/W: 86/ D: 48 cm a cabinet with a raised top, hinged doors and three internal trays H: 50/ W: 86/ D: 48 cm, one glass cabinet H: 36/W: 86/D: 32 cm, one cabinet with sliding door, with drawer and shelf H: 36/W: 86/D: 32 cm eight 28 cm deep shelves, four metal rails each 213 cm long.
