Item description

Pair of Charles X chest of drawers "settimanali"/"settimini" made in Lombardy in the 19th century (1820-30). Of great quality, they are completely paneled in walnut and briar-root. The typical acorn-shaped feet support a structure of six drawers, framed with a rich "grooved" motif and a smaller "engraved" one. The seventh drawer has a concave groove, a motif that continues on the sides of the furniture; the slabbed top is embellished with a double parallel "torello" border, elegantly supported by an engraved frame under the top recalling the motif of the base and central frame. Original locks.
