Chair mod. 42 by Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen made in Denmark in the 1960s. Solid rosewood structure and original natural wool upholstery with intriguing colored striped pattern. This model has a comfortable backrest and a stable solid wood structure. The chair mod. 42 perfectly exemplifies the fusion of form, space and functionality of Danish modern design. It was possible to preserve the original fabric which is almost intact. However the seat foams had to be replaced, which added a lot of comfort. The chair is solid and sturdy. The wood has been cleaned and preserved with professional products; usually small signs of use are left which do not ruin the aesthetics of the furniture and only confirm its originality.
