Item description
Double bed with bedside tables by Hans J. Wegner for Getamar made in Denmark in the 1960s. Splendid and rare teak bed that still looks amazing today: it is equipped with hanging bedside tables topped with plates of black glass; each has a drawer and a space underneath. The headboard is covered with black vinyl fabric which adds elegance to the furniture. The bed frame is very sturdy and features metal brackets and two original spring frames; the footboard is veneered in teak. The mattress is not included. The bed has been checked: the drawers are clean and work smoothly; the wood has been cleaned and preserved with Danish oil. Small signs of use are left which do not ruin the aesthetics of the furniture and only confirm its originality. Overall, fantastic vintage condition with minor signs of wear from age and use. The headboard is 51 cm high and 252 cm wide. The footboard is 37 cm high and 171 cm wide. Mattress dimensions: 200 x 165 cm (maximum mattress width: 170 cm). The bedside tables are 50 cm high, 40 cm wide and 33 cm deep; height of shelf and drawer: 7 cm each. The spring frame measures 168 x 67 cm.
