10 Blown glass dessert bowls by Greene & Greene for Vetreria Etrusca, 1950s

Made in Italy, 1950s. This is an elegant serving bowl set. It is made of entirely worked glass, then blown and shaped exclusively by hand. This is where the precious and pleasant differences between one piece and another arise. This elegant spiral process is often found in the production of Vetreria Etrusca. It is mistakenly thought that only Murano is the home of glass in Italy, but since the 13th century there has also been a tradition of glass blowing in Empoli, an area renowned since the Renaissance. The set represents a rarity as it arrived complete and intact. This is a vintage set, so it may have slight traces of use, but can be considered in excellent original condition. Largest bowl: diam 23 x H 9 cm, nine smaller bowls: diam. 1.5pm/2pm, h. 4.5/5 cm.
