Sofa and pair of armchairs by Jacob & Josef Kohn, 1920s

Viennese sofa and pair of armchairs by Jacob & Josef Kohn, circa 1910s-20s. Produced by Jacob & Josef Kohn, masters of Viennese architecture in bent beech together with Thonet. The set consists of a two-seater sofa and a pair of armchairs, all with padded seats and backs covered with a special fabric that gives elegance and prestige to the furniture. The pieces are made of bent beech with a J.J. Kohn label and fire stamp; there is also a second label with a patented leg support design. Particularly rare model, a treat for collectors and high-end design enthusiasts. The sofa is 97 cm high, 128 cm wide and 60 cm deep; the seat is 48 cm high. The armchairs are 95 cm high, 60 cm wide and 59 cm deep; the seat is 48 cm high. The set has been oil and shellac polished but still shows normal signs of wear due to age and use. The upholstery is recent and shows a slight mark as shown in the photos.
