Item description

Old English painting from the end of the 19th century. Oil painting on canvas, first half of the 19th century, depicting bucolic landscape, shepherd with cows on the river, good painterly hand. Nicely sized and attractively decorated painting adorned with a modern, carved and gilded wood and plaster frame. Painting of good depth, with mountains in the background, to be cleaned for better enjoyment. Has a small colour fade in the bottom right corner (see photo) that can be easily restored. Work easily placed in various places in the home, for antique dealers and interior decorators. In beautiful patina, overall in fairly good state of preservation. Light painting H 46 x W 59 cm.
