Fine walnut from northern Italy (Veneto) late 18th century sideboard with two doors and two risers. Inside the sideboard is separated into two compartments, each of which has a shelf. Created in Italy in the last years of the 18th century, in a rustic Neoclassical style typical of the period, as can be seen from the collar feet. The back is, of course, unfinished. The four locks on the drawers and doors are original to the period. With its good proportions, rustic character and authentic age, this late 18th century Italian walnut sideboard will be a splendid addition to any home, whether placed in a living room or dining room, perhaps complemented by an antique print, a mirror and a pair of candelabra. Good condition. Perhaps a slight restoration of the doors and modification of the interior panelling is necessary.
