Lombard Napoleon III walnut-root writing desk with raiser, 19th century (1852-70). Designed and created with the aim of satisfying the most demanding requests, this set of movements is entirely veneered in walnut-root, inlay threaded from the base crosspiece to the upper cabinet, in rooted cherry wood flanked by a second thread in maple wood. Further enrichments are found in the refined carvings on the bases and in the brass inserts as object holders, typical of the style. Rare and intact piece of furniture. Height at the table top: 72 cm.
