Antique French Napoleon III writing desk in exotic precious wood with finely chiselled gilded bronze appliqué. The top has a leather upholstery chiselled with 24kt gold original to the period surrounded by gilded bronze edging. The front is punctuated by five drawers embellished with gilded bronze leaf motif vents and handles. The sides are contoured like the front with bronze leaf motif mouldings with a mask in the centre. The opposite face is mirrored to the main one. The interior is made of oak. Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method.
