Item description
Set of six stone pine chairs, 1980s. Unusual rustic seat totally made of solidly processed stone pine essence, Brutalist design, suitable to be combined with a table of the same material and workmanship. The design is concerned with the breakdown of the individual elements that give rise to the completed form. In the case of this chair, the design is the seat, more like a stool formed of five 25 mm thick solid wood slats anchored to 5 + 5 slats that form the sides. The backrest fits into it at right angles almost as if it were an element forgotten by the composition and supervened when the work is finished. The result is a seat unscathed by the most basic ergonomic rules that nevertheless recovers in communication: the essence of stone pine, with its thousands of dark knots and all the grain legible even in the thicknesses of the staves, takes us back in time, leading us back to the simple and true things. Two recesses cut into the solid backrest make it easy to lift the chair and move it around. This set of six chairs is a display item in excellent condition. A 180 x 83 cm rectangular table is available of the same material (contact the seller for more information).
