Large Belgian sculpture from the 1920s-30s. Statuary white marble work of great size and impact, depicting the bust of woman with flower of excellent quality. All round finished sculpture with references to Art Nouveau style. Signed on the back "Paul Dubois" (see photo), referable to sculptor Paul Du Bois (often spelled Dubois, 1859-1938); lacking authentication. Work of great character and refinement, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of Art Nouveau marble sculptures. Bust with pleasing floral decoration at lower right; the sculptor was good at hinting at the dress that uncovers the woman's shoulders and back (see photo). Sculpture showing small signs of wear, structurally solid, overall in good state of preservation.
