Louis XVI half-moon dresser, second half of the 19th century













Elegant French dresser from the second half of the 19th century. Half-moon cabinet finely inlaid in walnut, mahogany, maple, briar, rosewood and fruit woods. Dresser with three drawers and two side doors of good capacity. Original marble top of good size and service. Chest of drawers of excellent proportion and quality, adorned on the front and side doors with floral and animal inlays (see photo). Cabinet supported by four solid wooden legs in the shape of a truncated inverted pyramid, also inlaid (see photo). In beautiful patina, it has some minor lifts and minor missing veneer (see photo). Complete with a working key, it is in a fairly good state of preservation. In need of restoration.
