Japanese pink coral and river pearl necklace, 1970s
SILVER Seller in Varese, Italia
Necklace from the 1970s consisting of hundreds of Japanese pink coral elements and "rice grain" river pearls. The pearls are adapted to the size and shape of the corals, which come in small cylinders all the same. Jewel of the highest workmanship enriched by a large engraved coral (3 x 1.50 cm) that interrupts the weave, which can be softened by loosening it. The "loom" technique used to string the stones, now rarely found, is exceptional. The necklace has a length of 35-37 cm of stones only, uninterrupted by clasp.
