Sideboard by Paolo Buffa in mahogany, wood, brass and glass, 1950s. The central body of the sideboard has a beveled rectangular shape and the corners curve into a gentle line. The sideboard has four doors with brass handles and keys to open them. There are two side compartments with shelves and two central doors that form a large compartment with shelves. Above the top there is a thick, long, vertical pane of clear glass. The base is made of wood with a brass frame. An elegant curl is formed by two eccentric feet made entirely of gilded brass. The sideboard has some marks and scratches from age and use, but has a very nice glossy patina. There is a minimal crack line on the right side due to moisture. The glass/mirror top has some defects, see photo. The sideboard is in original condition with great craftsmanship and high quality materials. The present condition is consistent with age and use.
