The two bedside tables-drawer units we propose, characteristic of the 1970s, have a tubular steel frame painted in a warm-yellow colour that creates a pleasant contrast with the aviation colour of the real pècari skin with which the drawer fronts, sides and back are upholstered. The pècari leather comes from the animal of the same name, similar to suidae, which lives in the southwestern United States and Central and South America.
The handles of the drawers are also metal, cylindrical with a hollow for a better grip, painted in the same yellow colour as the frame. The interior of the drawers is in wood, while the top is in opalised glass diffuser concealing a fluorescent lamp with dimmer.
Both drawer-drawer units have fluorescent lamps installed under the glass diffuser: in the photos the longer drawer unit has the lamp switched on, the shorter one deliberately switched off.
There are two products on offer and they have different sizes:
- the longer chest of drawers/bedside table measures H43 x W118 x D40
- the shorter chest of drawers/bedside table measures H43 x L60 x D40
Condition: both chests of drawers have slight defects in the baked paintwork of the frame (see photo); the longer chest of drawers has a slight chipping of the glass on the edge (see photo). This has been taken into account in the sale price.
