English armchair with casters, late 18th century. Original wooden structure of the period and upholstery in fine ruby red fabric. Note the elegance of the wood curvature of the armrests. The feet feature four casters, typical of English armchairs. It has been padded and the old upholstery replaced with this new red fabric. The casters are original to the period so they have lost their rotary function and are purely aesthetic. The armchair is in a very good state of preservation with no defects; some slight and unavoidable marks of time on the wood.
