This fantastic item recalls the days when radio was king and radio broadcasts were the most popular way for fans to follow Major League Baseball across the country. The radio, in the shape of an 8-inch diameter baseball, is made of heavy cardboard wrapped in a paper application designed to replicate a baseball with black and red stitching and labels that read: "Official League Ball" and "Cushion Cork Center". A metal-plated 'Trophy' radio logo medallion is attached to one of three 2" diameter mesh-vented speakers above the 'N0. AA Selected Quality Genuine Horsehide" with an on/off switch and volume control knob on the right side of the sphere and a radio station change knob on the left side. The sphere is mounted on a circular acrylic base from which a power cable and antenna protrude. The radio is in good visual condition and only works well in AM.
