Pair of Oxford Classic Chairs 3271C chairs by A. Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, 2006. Beautiful Oxford 3272 series chairs in teal micro textured fabric. Very good condition with minimal signs of use; some very small speckling and minimal peeling on the fabric. Designed by the great Danish architect Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) for the professors of St. Catherine's College, Oxford in 1963; the dean of St. Catherine's College chose Jacobsen to build an extension to the building. Five-spoke die-cast aluminum structure with clean, undamaged black hard plastic feet. Fabric foam padding thickness of 3 cm. There is slight shading on the aluminum parts, on the spokes, otherwise okay. No damage present, no seams, holes or tears. Present shading mostly on the front parts of the upholstery fabric, which only needs to be steam cleaned.
