Item description
Truly rare this finely decorated antique rectangular jewelry box, produced by the German porcelain manufactory KPM, circa 1870. The KPM mark is engraved on the inside. Made with a finely chiseled bronze structure that has acquired a beautiful antique patina. Each side of this jewelry box is a true work of art with hand-painted porcelain. On the lid we find an animated interior scene of a tavern with many characters; the scene is taken from a painting by German artist Franz Von Defregger, "Ball auf der Alm". Each side is finely hand-painted with beautiful Austrian landscapes, below which an inscription identifies the location. This box is a perfect example of the high artistic quality achieved by the KPM porcelain manufactory, known worldwide for the refinement of its decorative paintings. KPM porcelain is sought after by major international collectors. We recommend that you look at each photo to understand the rarity of this jewelry box. Offered at an excellent negotiable price, we invite you to send us your suggestions for purchase which we will gladly consider.
