Item description
LC10-P70 coffee table by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret for Cassina, 1990s. The frame and legs are in very good condition, while the glass top has a noticeable scratch in the center as well as a few other light scratches consistent with the age of the piece of furniture. From an inquiry to a glass company, it appears that the top can be polished, costing about 120 euros. The frame has barely visible chips on the edges of the black powder-coated part. Legs are chrome-plated, frame is matte black, top is safety glass and feet are polished chrome-plated steel with felt pads. Transparent crystal with polished edges (15 mm thick), steel support structure with black epoxy powder coating. Known as "table en tube basse table 33H," a three-handed work by the famous French rationalist architects Le Corbusier, Perriand and Jeanneret, who were working jointly in the Swiss master's studio in Paris at that time. They exhibited the first version of this historic design table at the 1929 Salon d'Automne.
