For sale is a beautiful and original Space Age era floor lamp, made of steel and metal and highly decorative in its simple yet avant-garde lines. A thin, minimalist metal rod with a square cross-section supports two bent metal lampshades, painted creamy white. The two white lampshades are the perfect frame for two bulbs, which diffuse a warm light and are glare-free thanks to the chrome-plated top. The lamp is shown with small and large bulbs. The lamp, most likely produced in Italy in the second half of the 1960s, is anonymous: there are no labels or attribution marks, nor does the style resemble a known creator. This, however, in no way makes it any less special or fascinating. Still retaining its original wiring and plug and the beautiful switch built into the base, the lamp has been inspected by a professional electrician and is fully functional. Only small and predictable signs of time are visible.
