Very elegant Art Deco square parchment-covered table with brass details and elephant leather inserts, 1950s. The polyester finish, which makes it shiny and protected from stains, has a craquelé effect given by fine cracks in the paint. The top, made up of overlapping planks, has beveled and curved corners and softens the profile line of this fine piece of furniture. The single square-section foot and the center of the top have elephant leather inserts, which recall a bygone era in which colonialism and exploration inspired fashions and designers.
