Pair of Panton Chair chairs by Verner Panton for Vitra, 1989

Pair of Panton Chair chairs by Verner Panton for Vitra, 1989. Made of Baydur by Bayer fiberglass in glossy black color. Model designed by Danish architect Verner Panton in 1959. Unique artifacts in that they were produced in very few units (decade 1980-1989) through a special production process personally supervised by Panton, which was never revived as fiberglass was very expensive. Today it is used for luxury yachts such as the Lagoon. The current models have a different composition structure. Structurally perfect, they mostly have light scratches and slight abrasions on the front due to normal use. In both there are two abrasions on the backrest at the height of about 70 cm. In J1 abrasion SX (1.0 x 1.5 cm), DX (1.5 x 1.3 cm). In J2 abrasion SX (0.7 x 0.4 cm), DX (1.8x1.2 cm). Where the surface finish is more matte. Design icons of timeless beauty. Very rare.
