Pylon chair by Tom Dixon for Cappellini, 2002. Pylon is a sculptural seat resembling a high voltage pylon; it loses all "heavy" content while maintaining the reverberation of a form, a complex three-dimensional design with high expressive content. Constructed from hand-welded steel wire and chalk white lacquered that makes the seat solid despite its "light" image. Seat height: 40 cm.
