Item description
Extremely spacious modular teak bookcase designed by Kai Kristiansen for FM Møbler, 1960s. It features minimalist lines and soft geometric shapes accompanied by beautiful solid teak details. This cabinet will nicely fill an entire wall, providing plenty of space for storing and displaying books and decorations. At the same time, thanks to the large spaces between the elements, it does not give the impression of being overloaded; rather it attracts attention with its harmony and geometric balance. The arrangement of the elements is not definitive, it is possible to arrange them, as well as the modules with open compartments, in any position and height. It is a very simple system, patented by Kai Kristiansen, which involves the insertion of metal brackets into the tracks. The configuration shown is therefore just an example. The two modules with open compartments are 72 cm high, 85.5 cm wide and 28 cm deep; they have six inside shelves each. Four shelves are 85.5 cm wide and 24 cm deep. Eight shelves are 85.5 cm wide and 28 cm deep. The five metal uprights are 198 cm long each. The furniture has been checked, all mechanisms work properly. The wood has been cleaned and the original paint refreshed with professional products. The uprights have been repainted.
