Item description
Cart with removable trays by Cesare Lacca, 1950s. Refined cart with thin and very light ash wood structure with sinuous forms with brass details. It features two shelves composed of trays with wood edging and glass top resting on brass rods; being removable, it is possible to serve guests more easily. It shows signs of time and tampering: it has undergone rough stripping and has been brought to wood while the original color was dark brown. All this can be seen from photos and, despite everything, this wonderful cart has not lost its charm. Cesare Lacca was born in Naples in 1929; at the age of 21 he moved to Milan and in the 1950s gave birth to numerous pieces of furniture made mostly by combining glass, brass and wood.
