Item description
Antique harp made of maple and gilded wood with bronze foot and pedal mounts. On the modillion, near the union with the column, we find the number 793 followed by the inscription Pleyel,Lyon and C.ie (Paris). The entire harp is wood-coloured, except for some gilded carved wood trim that stands out from the rest of the structure. It has seventy-eight strings and the two orders cross about halfway up its height. This type of harp was devised by Gustave Lyon in 1894-95, he abolished the pedals and assembled the instrument with the full set of tuning strings and crossed the strings to save space. Origin: 19th century France. Excellent overall condition, strings missing. Measurements: 60x100 cm, H 190 cm. Certificate of Authenticity.
